A milestone session is a simple way to photograph your child exactly as they are right now, before the year turns and they're someone slightly different again. We keep it fun and let them lead the way.
What to Expect
Here’s what’s waiting for you
I take care of the setup - the number balloon, the toys, the studio. Before your session, I'll ask what your child's interests are and try to have toys and activities on hand that help them feel at ease.
Outfit-wise, we'll figure that out together beforehand. I have some options at the studio, or you're welcome to bring something from home.
Sessions typically run 30 minutes, with an extra 15 built in if your child needs more time to warm up. They're relaxed, there's no pressure, and by the end you'll have a gallery full of images that you will love.

Everything you need is taken care of. Show up, and I'll handle the rest.

When should I book?
Around a month in advance is a good rule of thumb, but it's always worth reaching out - I may have something sooner. Get in touch and we'll find a date that works.
Can other family members come along?
The studio is a small, relaxed space, so it works best with just the essentials. If you'd like to bring someone along, just mention it when you get in touch and we'll figure out what works.
Where are sessions held?
All sessions take place at Little Light Studio, my home studio in East Memphis, Memphis, TN. Full address and parking details are sent once your session is booked.
What should my child wear?
I'd suggest keeping it simple. Neutral tones and no logos, pictures, or text on clothing. It keeps the images clean and timeless. If you're not sure where to start, I'm happy to help put something together, and I also have outfit options in the studio if you need them.
